UC for Business 5.1 is Here!!!

The new release for UCB (Unified Communications for Business) is now here and it brings some amazing features. As most know, about a month ago, a blade version of UCB was released for the NEC SV8300 Communication server. Now with release 5.1 this InSkin UCB blade is now available on the SV8100. What does this mean! I am glad you ask…this provides the small business market the amazing product at a fraction of the price.

For those who don’t know, the UCB product is a state of the art communications tool that delivers call center functionality in addition to voice mail or unified communications. And the term “unified communications” is used so frequently these days. What does it mean? We believe that unified communications is taking all of your best ways of communicating in the business world and combining them into one easy interface. UCB is fantastic at this. Especially since it can be embedded right into Microsoft Outlook. With call control, chat, presence, call history, conferencing and voice mailbox options all right in Outlook, you can’t ask for anything more!

Version 5.1 brings some extras…and here is a short list:

• Added Profiles (such as On a Conference, at Conference, At Lunch, Attending Training and On Business Travel)
• Outlook 2010 Compatibility
• Multiple Time Zones
• Multiple Party Chats…up to 32 and can also get reporting on your chats!
